CORVETTE C8 VS PORSCHE 718 BOXTER

In the context of sports cars that behave blazingly in just about every situation and simply transcend when you’re stepping on their pedal, little comes close to the Corvette C8 and the Porsche 718 Boxster. However, which of the two truly steals the show when it comes to performance, design, practicality, and driving experience? Let’s find out!

chevrolet corvette c8 vs porsche 718 boxter mph club blog0 chevrolet corvette c8 vs porsche 718 boxter mph club blog01

OVERVIEW

• CORVETTE C8

Even though the C8 is not a hyper-car by conventional standards, but it certainly does look and perform like one. Chevrolet has exceeded the expectations of what most Americans had from a domestic car manufacturer: not only has it kept the cost of the Corvette C8 down and preserved the use of naturally-aspirated V8, but it also has altered the viewpoint of what we believed it meant to drive a true American-bred sports car. The Corvette C8 for rent runs like a wind-blast, has an elegant and well-built interior, and looks astounding!

• PORSCHE 718 BOXTER

On the other hand, the Porsche 718 Boxster handles utterly wonderfully, looks impressive, and most importantly, it’s one of the rare cars, let alone sports cars, that still comes with an impeccable, performance. The feel of riding the Porsche 718 Boxster for rent is unlike any other, with a blend of balance and brutality few can imitate. Its profound six-cylinder buzzes in the style that only a naturally aspirated Porsche can, and its further refined handling ability makes it a genuine candidate for one of the best sports cars on the road. If you can afford to be in the driver’s seat of one, by all means, go for it.

PERFORMANCE

• CORVETTE C8 (9/10)

Even though the engine may have relocated behind the seats, the 6.2 liter V8 stays faithful to the Corvette ethos — it’s naturally aspirated, it’s large displacement, and has eight cylinders. This progress has also brought with it some radical performance advantages. The grip feels better than ever and anyone who sits in the driver seat of this Chevrolet C8 for rent is stunned at just how swiftly this supercar launches off the line. Its 490 HP might not seem too dramatic by modern standards, but the 465 lb-ft of torque does more than necessary to close the gap, assisting the C8 to propel from 0 – 60 mph in about 3 seconds flat.

• PORSCHE 718 BOXTER (8/10)

The 718 Boxster has a 2.0 liter turbocharged boxer-four engine that delivers 300 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque, all of which get sent to the rear wheels through a dynamic six-speed manual gearbox. The thrill of cruising through this sleekly shifting box is matchless, and left to its own, the gearbox is almost telepathic — it obeys any and all of your commands at once, launching you from 0 – 60 mph in about 4.7 seconds.

DESIGN

• CORVETTE C8 (9/10)

The C8 looks thunderingly badass. As the first mid-engined automobile since the beginning of the Corvette, Chevy went for an exceedingly mighty look that manages firmly to seize your attention. On top of being the most exotic-looking American cars ever made, the removable Targa top adds to the sport. With 20-inch rear and 19-inch front alloy wheels encased in Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires, LED headlights, and auto-dimming power-folding outside mirrors, the C8 for rent has a fierce yet wholesome look accentuated by its 182.3 inches length and 48.6 inches height.

• Porsche 718 Boxter (9/10)

The Porsche 718 Boxster for rent is equipped with LED running lights and the ingenious Porsche Dynamic Light System including bi-xenon headlights. Extensively-sized side intake vents serve the mid-mounted engine from the outside, while the rear stars a smooth and simplistic panel with an adaptive rear wing and a faux diffuser. And lastly, with a central exhaust exit, 18 inches wheels, 172.4 inches length, and 50.4 inches of height, the 718 Boxster oozes aero dynamism in its dimensions relative to its optimal curb weight.

INTERIOR PRACTICALITY

• CORVETTE C8 (8/10)

Of course, the C8 is an out-and-out sports car, but it won’t disappoint any comfort- and practicality-loving individuals looking for a thrilling time. There’s an appreciable volume of space inside the cabin of the Corvette C8 for rent, which is surprisingly well for a 2-seater. And, unless you have a chronically sore back, getting in and out of it shouldn’t be a notable problem. Once inside, you get a bountiful 37.9 inches of headroom, which shouldn’t be an obstacle if you’re not 6 foot 8, and a 42.8 inches legroom that is more than sufficient for two tall adults. On the whole, unexpectedly plentiful!

• PORSCHE 718 BOXTER (7/10)

Just like in the C8, only two people can fit inside the cabin of the 718 Boxster. The two-way adjustable standard seats of the 718 Boxster for rent furnish generous support and immeasurable comfort. For the most part, the cabin is quite hospitable even for the tallest of individuals, and you won’t get the usual cramped-up seatings inside of this Porsche that you generally see in most supercars.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

• CORVETTE C8 (9.5/10)

Anyone accustomed to the handling aspects of the traditional front-engined, rear-wheel-drive Corvettes will get a pleasant surprise from the C8 for rent. Most would never dare to venture fully exploiting this car around a track, but the ones who do will certainly admire its sharp turn-in and grip levels. Being in the C8’s driving seat feels unprecedently snug and protected, as it rides smoothly over most road surfaces. Moreover, braking feels impeccable too, and when you switch off the traction control and hit the pedal hard, this Chevy rotates entrancingly in a way that eliminates any understeer, giving you an excellent time on the road!

• PORSCHE 718 BOXTER (10/10)

There is no drop-top sports car on Earth in the price range of the 718 Boxster that handles as predictably and crisply as this Porsche. The steering is definite and sharp yet presents enough solace for you to confidently steamroll your limits, limits that will be struck down long before you get the 718 Boxster for rent flustered. Such levels of equilibrium and composure were previously unheard of in a car this agile, which makes bumps in the road feel as smooth as silk. Lastly, with a torque vectoring system, braking is easy to govern and the pedal feels tremendously secure, and thus, this manual transmission Porsche gives you the ultimate driving experience!

LAMBORGHINI HURACAN SPYDER VS FERRARI 488 SPIDER

Tell someone you are the biggest car rental agency in Miami and the first question you get is, “So, what’s the best car you have on offer?” It’s almost inevitable.

Without getting into an obscure analysis of what the word “best” really means in the given context, it’s apparent that people want you to name your favorite. The fastest, the fanciest, and the one that can turn the most heads.

So here, we’re comparing two of the meanest and the most staggering cars to ever bless the road — Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and Ferrari 488 Spider. They both are an impossibly refined combination of fierce acceleration, dynamic brilliance, flawless beauty, and a howling soundtrack.

Which one of these purebred Italian stallions is better? Let’s find out!

ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog1 ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog0

PERFORMANCE

• LAMBORGHINI HURACAN SPYDER (9/10)

Automobili Lamborghini’s 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine produces staggering stats of 602 horsepower and 412 lb-ft of torque. And even though the official 0 – 60 mph figure is 3.4 seconds, the mph club is pretty sure it’s not that slow. Lambo’s figures are almost typically bettered by other publications with next to no effort.

A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sends power to all the wheels, making the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder for rent an engrossing driving machine, and if there is anything better than its engine, it’s all the electronics that make its steering feel so strikingly svelte and gripping.

• FERRARI 488 SPIDER (9/10)

The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine prowling beneath the rear engine cover of the Ferrari 488 Spider for rent has driven the masses to laud the engine for its stupendous torque levels and overall astounding power delivery. Power outputs are incredible: you get 661 horsepower at a high 8,000 rpm and 561 lb-ft of torque!

Additionally, its seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is explicit, rapid, and compliments the engine gracefully. Ferrari claims a 0 – 60 mph time of 3 seconds flat, which is impressively fast even for a hypercar. Lastly, with all that torque available on tap, this convertible car for rent is the perfect point and shoot roadster there can ever be!

ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog3 ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog2

DESIGN

• LAMBORGHINI HURACAN SPYDER (9.5/10)

We can safely say that anyone with more than three brain cells is a big fan of the Huracan’s unmercifully over-the-top design, and the Spyder is an even more spectacular version of the coupe.

The roof of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder for rent is a fabric job and folds away in a neat 15 seconds, which is sufficiently quick to save you from a soaking in all but the most sudden of rainfalls.

On the whole, the Spyder’s exterior looks quite stunning when the roof is up, doing a proper impression of the coupe’s roofline, however with the roof down, it looks nothing short of epic, especially with its popping speedster-style humps.

Not by a long shot is it a shy and retiring car, and if you enjoy the limelight, the design of this Italian beast is brilliantly befitting. The Huracan Spyder script engraved on the windscreen header rail is one nice inkling that gives this Lambo the final touch it needed to be recognized as the most radiant of all!

• FERRARI 488 SPIDER (9.5/10)

Ferrari is a kingpin when it comes to crafty concealment of sensational aero trickery, and the 488 Spider is no anomaly.

Putting the engine at the core of the vehicle and installing only two seats doesn’t just pay off aerodynamically, it also presents the perfect platform for visual poise, and the Ferrari 488 Spider for rent has done a superb job at it.

The blown rear spoiler directs air from intakes at the bottom of the rear screen, and its explicit geometry makes for a more pronounced profile for the main surface to maximize downforce and augment upward deflection without the need for a raised wing.

Lastly, The tension across its various arched and modeled surfaces is exquisitely managed, and the 488 Spider’s crouching stance clamors power and singleness of purpose like nothing else.

ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog5 ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog4

INTERIOR PRACTICALITY

• LAMBORGHINI HURACAN SPYDER (6/10)

This convertible car for rent is unapologetic in making it clear what it is made for and that there isn’t room to fit everyday luxuries inside of it. That said, the front trunk has a capacity of about 70 liters and you do get a cupholder that pops out of the passenger-side dash.

All in all, there’s not a whole lot of things you can squeeze in, but it sure has a more spacious and relaxed interior than the Aventador, with added head- and legroom alongside a better overall position for the occupants when compared to most supercars.

• FERRARI 488 SPIDER (7/10)

Again, how do you address interior practicality in a car that’s so unmistakably detached from the concept?

Best to say, there’s cursory consideration in terms of cabin space, with a decent glovebox, modest pockets in the doors, and a pair of cupholders in the console. Behind the seats, there’s also a net and some general space along the bulkhead.

Another redeeming feature is a generous, rectangular trunk in the nose, offering 230 liters of easily accessible load space. The retractable hardtop that unfolds exceedingly smoothly in just 14 seconds and operates at speeds up to 25 miles is another attribute worth mentioning in the interior practicality section of our Ferrari 488 Spider for rent.

ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog7 ferarri-488-spider-vs-lamborghini-huracan-spiuder-mph-club-blog6

SAFETY

• LAMBORGHINI HURACAN SPYDER (9/10)

This convertible car for rent has four airbags, stability and traction controls, ABS, and brake force distribution. What’s more, the Spyder is equipped with an exceptionally strong carbon fiber and aluminum spaceframe that does the heavy lifting in case of a crash — so feel safe if you find yourself inside one!

• FERRARI 488 SPIDER (8.5/10)

In terms of active safety, the Ferrari 488 Spider for rent features standard carbon-ceramic brakes with ABS, front and side-impact airbags, and advanced traction control with slip angle management.

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GTC VS ROLLS ROYCE DAWN

Whenever any car enthusiast thinks of the best upper-echelon luxury convertible car rental out there, only two automobiles come to mind. The Rolls Royce Dawn and the Bentley Continental GT Convertible.

The Dawn is a stupefying droptop with unparalleled charm oozing out of its unique looks, but how well does it fare against a genuine competitor like the Bentley Continental GT Convertible, which is as fascinating in performance as it is in luxury?

Let’s find out!

rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-front-view0001 rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-front-view001

PERFORMANCE

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE (9/10)

If you are looking for fierce performance metrics, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 of the Bentley GT Continental is there to provide you an abundance of it. Its engine generates decent figures of 542 HP and 568 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to all four wheels.

The GT Continental‘s power plant moves the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds and can make it go to a maximum of 207 mph — way better than what anyone would expect of a typical luxury convertible car rental.

ROLLS ROYCE DAWN CONVERTIBLE (9/10)

A twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 runs the Dawn. Sounds grand, right? It sure is. From this engine, sheer dynamism is sent to its rear-wheel-drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission that accounts for incredibly fluid shifts.

And although this convertible car rental hefts more than most large SUVs, it propels from 0 to 60 mph in merely 4.3 seconds! What’s more, the electronically governed system of this automobile exerts little to no effort in silently wafting around at its top speed of an astonishing 190 mph!

rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-roller-view3 rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-roller-view03

DESIGN

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE (9/10)

Only a handful of cars are as luxuriously stylish as a Bentley and the Continental GT Convertible does more by giving it that extra drop-top flair. With its elongated wheelbase and extended, sleek profile, this two-door luxury convertible car rental almost seems to go on endlessly. Despite that, its external body’s curves and the geometrical aspects of its hood are designed for supreme aerodynamic excellence.

Riding on 21-inch tri-spoke alloy wheels, the GTC continental unleashes the most prominent sense of luxury — something you could only experience in an automobile as classy as a Bentley.

ROLLS ROYCE DAWN CONVERTIBLE (10/10)

While the Rolls Royce Cullinan can merge in with most milieux, the same can’t be said for the Dawn. The British manufacturer has set a design language for the Dawn that dates back to the elegant 2000s era. With a royal cuboid-like design, svelte edges, and a blunt snout, this luxury car rental is as aesthetically alluring as they come.

At the front, you get that signature Rolls Royce handwrought grille composition, dating all the way back to their humble beginnings. Slim headlights, which are now a penchant of the brand, fit outstandingly well here. Coming to the rear, it is stylistically complete, elegant, and has two subtly engineered exhausts alongside relatively diminutive taillights girdled by metal.

All in all, faultlessly pristine!

rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-side-view4 rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-side-view04

INTERIOR PRACTICALITY

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE (6/10)

Coming to the Bentley Continental GT, the insides of it are so divinely bewitching that we won’t blame you if you feel like spending more time on the road than at home.

Unfortunately though, despite all this luxury and extravagance, only four passengers can fit inside this luxury car rental, and even then, only the two up front actually savor everything the Bentley has to offer. For the driver and the front-seat passenger, there is a boatload of leg- and headroom — even more if you let the roof down. However, with the roof up, the rear-seat occupants may feel a bit cramped.

Additionally, even though the cabin may be opulently equipped, the Bentley Continental GT Convertible is not much of a practical, day-to-day vehicle. The trunk supplies an insignificant 8.3 cubic feet of space for luggage, which is simply not enough.

But again, is there anyone on this planet that gets a lovely luxury convertible car rental to go grocery shopping? No. Just, no.

ROLLS ROYCE DAWN CONVERTIBLE (7/10)

When it comes to 4-seater droptops, only a few two-door vehicles can legitimately offer luxurious seating for four adults, and the Rolls Royce Dawn tops the list.

Even though a majority of the Dawn’s length is taken up by its bulky hood, this luxury car rental still achieves a good 41.5 inches of legroom up front and about 37 inches in the rear. To add to that, at about 38 inches, the headroom in the back is quite generous as well.

On the downside, the Dawn may ride on a large platform, but the meticulously blueprinted convertible top eats into whatever little space that remains for the trunk. This luxury car for rent has just a 10.4 cubic foot trunk — not very ideal if you’re going shopping.

But really, who goes to the grocery store in a Dawn?

rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-interior-view05 rolls-royce-dawn-rental-vs-bentley-gtc-rental-mph-club-interior-view5

SAFETY

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE (10/10)

ROLLS ROYCE DAWN CONVERTIBLE (9/10)

Both the Continental GT and the Dawn have a set of conventional driver and passenger frontal airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, traction control, daytime running lights, available night vision systems, rearview cameras, lane departure warning systems, and all-around landscape monitors.

However, this is where they differ:

  • To warn the driver of a possible collision, the Continental GT offers forward-mounted sensors. If the driver doesn’t pay any heed to the sensors’ alarm and the system ascertains a collision is imminent, brakes are automatically applied to reduce the intensity of the crash or to avoid it altogether. The Dawn has a collision warning system too, but without the crash-extenuating braking feature.
  • To maximize traction under bad conditions, particularly in ice and snow, the Continental GT has an all-wheel-drive arrangement. The Dawn does not offer an all-wheel-drive system.
  • To help you reverse out of safer, the Continental GT’s cross-path warning system makes use of smart sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver of approaching vehicles or objects, avoiding collisions. The Dawn does not offer a cross-path alarm system.

That said, overall, both the cars are quite safe and it’ll take either a dunce or a drunk to get injured in any way while being enveloped in the safety and luxury of these cars.

LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR S VS FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST

Insane. It’s a word that people regularly lift from their vocabulary while describing the driving experience of a supercar, since clearly, as means of transportation, cars of the brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini are not sane options.

But when it comes to an adrenaline-charged pulse-pounding adventure, these supercar rentals are matchless.

mph club offers a variety of extravagant supercar rentals, out of which Lamborghini Aventador S and Ferrari 812 Superfast are two of the hottest picks, as detailed by our clients.

Let’s compare these two super cars on several fronts to find out which one should you rent:

lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-front-view03 lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-front-view001

OVERVIEW

• AVENTADOR S

Too quick, too intense, too noisy, and too dangerous. All of these are the expressions a supercar enthusiast would never think of uttering when considering the physics-defying existence of Lamborghini Aventador S.

And yet, these are the exact kind of words your average Joe might say after driving it, or even witnessing the Aventador S in motion.

The Aventador S has been upgraded radically since the launch of its first edition — with a new and improved gearbox, rear-wheel steering, and tweaked styling, this supercar rental absolutely exceeds expectations.

• 812 SUPERFAST

Clearly, the Ferrari 812 Superfast is not a car for everyone, and in fact, you may question whether it’s a car for anyone, really. Packed with extravagant style, strength, and dynamics that speak for themselves, people love spending more than $600,000 on this vehicle, but you can get this supercar rental on a daily basis as well, at mphclub.com!

Ferraris have always been a top-tier choice of the premium individuals because they deliver a certain, one-of-a-kind level of exclusivity and bragging rights, which you’d have to hope a car literally called Superfast would.

If rockets are your thing, look no further. You won’t be disappointed!

lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-side-view001 lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-side-view01

PERFORMANCE

• AVENTADOR S (9/10)

The performance of this unrivaled automotive masterpiece is sensationally violent, packed with a punch of 730 HP and a deafeningly wrathful 8400 rpm measure. Lamborghini says that the fine-tuning of the Aventador S gives even better torque at higher revs, but its maximum figure of 507 lb-ft is actually less than Ferrari 812 Superfast‘s 530 lb-ft.

However, the turbochargers give this supercar for rent an edge, which makes the Aventador S takes off at astronomical speeds — it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.

• 812 SUPERFAST (8/10)

It is quite amazing to think that Ferrari can make a car that has about 800 horsepower and 12 cylinders — hence the 812 nomenclature, by the way — and it doesn’t dig a massive hole right in the middle of the road as soon as you hit the gas.

With a top speed of 211 mph and the acceleration tenacity of hitting 60 mph from 0 in just 2.9 seconds, the kind of performance this supercar rental provides makes all other cars appear feeble and miserable.

But honestly, who could ever use or need this much strength? However, the fact that you can rev an engine this ferocious and enticingly loud to 8500 rpm is a delight that would never be enough.

lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-roller1 lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-roller

DESIGN

• AVENTADOR S (9/10)

The dexterous Italian engineers from Lamborghini displayed a revealing sketch at the launch of this supercar rental, which spoke volumes about the design ethos of this car. It featured sharks and cobras morphed with an outline of the Aventador S that represented their approach to engineering its design.

The shark fins are utterly evident in the new and even more prominent front splitter, and the vigor hiding under the engine cover signifies the cobra.

Aside from that, the design of this supercar rental has a few touches of the classic Lamborghini Countach, and plenty of inspiration from a space shuttle’s design.

And how could you not fall for those exquisite doors? All in all, the design is precisely as elegant as it can be, without going over the top.

• FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST (9/10)

This supercar rental is quite enormous. And it looks even bigger when you see it in person, having a hood that you likely could use to put a roof over a small tennis court.

The Ferrari’s design team has nailed making something this huge look as good as it does. On the whole, the Ferrari 812 Superfast is 4,600 mm long, almost 2,000 mm wide, and weighs about 3,600 lbs — so it certainly has a presence.

The hood of this car seems to be flaring and looks incredible from the driver’s seat. The stormy sides and the rigid rear complete the design perfectly. This supercar rental is a grand touring rocket ship and the most imposing statement of design finesse.

lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-profile-view lamborghini-aventador-s-rental-vs-ferrari-812-superfast-rental-mph-club-profile-view1

INTERIOR PRACTICALITY

• AVENTADOR S (4/10)

The Aventador S is the foremost of supercars. And although you may be gambling away your life expectancy every time you hit the throttle, it does take you from Point A to Point B in grand style.

But other than that, the interior practicality is not a selling point of this supercar rental. There are no cupholders and not enough room to store anything relatively big at all. Of course, none of this matters as the people who rent the Lamborghini Aventador S love it for the thrill and the magnificence of its performance.

• FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST (7/10)

The Ferrari 812 superfast has been designed with a grand touring style in mind. For a two-seater supercar you actually have ample room comfort and storage space! You even have space for two cup holders! In the exotic car community including cup holders have always been a humorous design feature.

Too often exotic car manufactures will prioritize the driving experience so much so that other more obvious features are jeopardized. Cupholders, sun-visors, glove-box are often the first to go. But not in the 812 Superfast, this supercar is ready to take on the longest road trips with speed and comfort.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

• AVENTADOR S (10/10)

Lamborghini has vastly enriched the Aventador S driving experience at low speeds with a unique rear-wheel steering mechanism, which turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels, essentially shortening the wheelbase and making driving more effortless.

At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels for better turn-in and handling.

Without traffic, this supercar rental delivers the sort of acceleration that takes all the air out of your body, or maybe you simply forget to breathe as your brain is too busy loving the excitement of its rides.

Driving the Aventador S is an invigorating sensation that is as addictive as it is fascinating.

• 812 SUPERFAST (10/10)

This supercar rental solemnly deserves to be called “Superfast” because driving it feels truly bonkers. This car is built as if someone made it for a dare, realized it was possibly too dangerous an idea, but made it available on the market anyway.

There is so much power behind its throttle — even with the restricted amount of it that this car allows you to access in the lower gears — it absolutely looks possible you’ll have a Need for Speed moment, if you hit the gas even a bit too hard.

There’s something beautifully old school, and traditionally Ferrari about this supercar rental that truly astonishes and intimidates you any time you’re behind its wheel.

LAMBORGHINI URUS VS MERCEDES BENZ G63

Mph club offers a variety of Luxury SUV rentals out of which Mercedes Benz AMG G-63 (G Wagon) and Lamborghini Urus are two of the hottest picks, as reported by our clients.

The Mercedes Benz G-63 — the crescendo in luxury and sturdiness, is meant for the people who don’t like to settle for anything less than extraordinary.

And, the Lamborghini Urus is simply marvelous. Unquestionably, it is a supreme SUV that is every bit as Lamborghini as you’d expect, but with a big difference — it’s better, and more all-purpose than the exotic Lambos.

So, if you’re looking to rent a luxury SUV, which one should you go for? Here’s our comparison between Mercedes Benz G-Wagon and Lamborghini Urus on several fronts:

OVERVIEW

• Urus

Lamborghini is renowned for making dazzling supercars whose drivers seem so carefree that they don’t appear to need a trunk or even rear seats. Also, they don’t seem to have trouble getting in and out on all fours through the ritzy scissor doors.

Yes, Lamborghini is notorious for these fascinating race cars for the road, not SUVs. But it’ll definitely be, sooner than later.

That is because Lamborghini Urus — the first Luxury SUV by the Italian brand has been torture tested, and proved to be remarkable not just on the track or off-road, but for everyday drives as well!

• G63

Everything about the Mercedes-Benz G63 G-Wagon‘s individuality pokes out from its foundations — the polished alloy steps running down each of its sides.

Launched across the globe in early 2018, G63 G-Wagon might not look the most aerodynamically sound at first glance, but under its skin, there’s a whole new ballgame of technology that over-delivers.

PERFORMANCE

Urus (9/10)

The Lamborghini Urus has a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 641 HP and 627 lb-ft of torque.

The power delivery feels so phenomenal that for a second you’ll think the engine is naturally aspirated by how controllable and linear it is.

While the Urus doesn’t have a screaming exhaust tone as a V12 Aventador, the profound V8 grumble on idle and the whizz on the downshifts will let the entire road know you’ve arrived.

Aside from that, the eight-speed automatic transmission can switch its temperament from a fiercely hard-shifter in Corsa (Track) mode to velvety smooth in the Strada (Street) mode.

G63 (9/10)

The G 63’s 4.0-liter all-alloy V8 engine uses direct injection and a set of dual-scroll turbos to produce 585 HP of sheer power and 627 lb-ft of torque. To improve the gas-feed response and optimize efficiency, the turbos are placed inside the engine’s ‘V’, promoting airflow and shrinking the distance from the turbos to the exhaust side.

And, with an automatic, nine-speed, dual-clutch transmission, this Luxury SUV Rental is driven by all four wheels. The paddle shifters, coupled with a multiple downshift mechanism allows you to keep squeezing the shift paddle and go up or down multiple gears at once.

DESIGN

Urus (9/10)

Anything fascinating about the Urus’ design? That’s like asking if there’s anything luxurious about a luxury SUV Rental. See, whether or not you like the look of Urus, you must admit it doesn’t look like anything you’ve ever seen before, right?

Urus’ design looks precisely how a Lamborghini SUV should look – from its side contour with the svelte glasshouse and hindquarters that look spring-loaded, to its eye-popping tailgate lip spoiler and Y-shaped tail-lights.

Dimensions-wise, Urus is large — it’s 5,110mm long, 1,640mm tall, and 2,180mm wide.

G63 (8/10)

This SUV rental has a unique, elevated stance, replete with pumped wheel arches and quaint flat glass, that sets it apart and draws people in. With looks oozing the persona of a luxury, yet functional powerhouse, G-63 G-Wagon attracts as many dazed stares as a low-flying supercar wedge.

Just like the classic G-Class’s solid metal door handles, another tip of the hat to the car’s heritage is the retention of the horizontal grab handle, widened arcs, and red-painted brake pads fused with the unmatched looks of the classic G-class frame.

Coming to its dimensions, G-63 G-Wagon is 4,880mm long, a bit over 1,900mm tall, and 1,800mm wide — enough to pull off a convincing impersonation of a robust vessel.

INTERIOR PRACTICALITY

Urus (8/10)

The interior of Urus is exceptional and storage is fairly good!

The front seats in this SUV Rental are quite snug, offering outstanding support and comfort. Head-, shoulder- and legroom up front is plentiful, but it’s the second row that’s the most incredible — it’s got enough legroom for even a 6 ft 6 tall person!

There are two cupholders in the front and another two in the fold-down center armrest at the back. However, the main highlight is the rear climate control system, which offers separate temperature choices for left and right riders at the back, with lots of vents!

Pretty comfortable — all in all.

G63 (9/10)

Once on-board there’s plenty of room up front in this SUV Rental, with sufficient storage — having a bin between the seats, two cupholders in the center console, oddments space, and a decent glove box.

In the back, there’s plenty of headroom to spare, with abundant foot room, and no matter your height, there’ll be a considerable gap between your knees and the driver’s seat.

A fold-down armrest unites a pair of cupholders and there are map pockets on the back of the front seats as well. There’s also additional space for keeping bottles on the side of the doors.

Pretty spacious — all in all.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Urus (10/10)

The Lamborghini Urus is special. This SUV Rental is dynamic and quick, without being hard to drive. In point of fact, it is one of the simplest and the most comfortable SUVs you’ll ever drive, while also being one of the fastest.

The driving experience of Urus is enhanced by the imposing air suspension, which makes rides cushy, steering light, and throttle calm.

Even on pot-holed and patchy roads, the quality of the ride is exceptional, much the same as G-Wagon.

Then there’s the acceleration: 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds! Combine that with the 190 mph top speed, and your experience will be like one of those videos that are shot from the driver’s seat of a bullet train.

With braking almost as extraordinary as the acceleration, there are hardly any cars on the market that can match Urus.

G63 (10/10)

Let’s cut to the chase. The G 63 SUV Rental’s immaculate grunt overpowers its aerodynamically challenged frame to propel this boom box on wheels from 0-60 mph in a claimed 4.5 seconds. And, despite its greater width and length, G-Wagon has enough horsepower to punch a 150 mph hole in the air.

Driving experience, especially in the ‘Ride Control’ suspension setting is simply sensational. It’s no limo — you’ll still feel a little quavering over higher frequency undulations, but this SUV Rental is way, way better than most others in this regard.

Suffice it to say, the driving experience is magnificent. Especially due to its steering that is phenomenally responsive and controllable.
